Riu Tequila Club Hotel is a great choice for a memorable holiday. With two beautiful pools and lots of sports on offer including tennis and volleyball, the Riu Tequila is all about fun. There are several lively bars including a sports bar and a disco. Children will love the kids club and playground.

From the main buffet restaurant with show cooking to the speciality restaurants (Steakhouse, Asian and Mexican) you’ll be spoilt for choice at the Riu Tequila, especially as Riu Tequila guests can also go to the nearby Riu Playacar and Riu Yucatan for lunch. The all inclusive package at RIU tequila extends to 24 hour snacks and drinks and includes use of the mini-bar and inroom optics.

“Fantastic holiday that has restored our faith in Thompson holidays. Flight was much better than anticipated and then from the moment we arrived (check in on coach) and our cases were taken for us and we were given a welcome cocktail, the service was great throughout. Mexicans are so friendly. The Tequila is a bit more than five minutes to the superb beach at Playacar but it’s a nice walk on a path, and you can use the water sports and lunch and drinks at the Riu Yucatan while down there. Went into Playa del Carmen a few times. Highly recommended. Has a more European feel than Cancun”
“We went to the RIU Tequila in June, and got an amazing price (thanks, swine flu!). Can’t fault the hotel, staff or anything, we have stayed in RIU hotels before so had high expectations but this is the best we have had. Tips – use the fan instead of the air conditioning in the room, steakhouse was superb as was the Mexican restaurant. Really enjoyed breakfast too – sitting outside on the veranda with a fresh fruit smoothie and eggs cooked to order, didn’t fancy pancakes and donuts like the Americans though !. Would love to go back to the RIU Tequila or one of the other of their hotels there. The Palace looks unreal by the way.”
